So many ways

There are only so many Internet Service Providers in my area and my mom doesn’t seem to think she needs one. She’s all about staying ‘off the grid’ as she calls it which to me means she practically lives in a tree and doesn’t pay income taxes (she does, I make her.) I just don’t understand why mom doesn’t seem to get that she’s got to stay connected somehow – we need to learn how to communicate in a way that doesn’t include a carrier pigeon or a tin can. I love that there are so many ways to live your life but mom’s just so ridiculous when it comes to how crazy she is. I just don’t understand why she’s so adamant about making sure everything’s difficult and hard for anyone to get through to. I just don’t get it…what in the world is she thinking making me chase her around the globe trying to get in touch and see if she’s alright – that’s my prerogative as a daughter.
